Brentford are keen to sign Chelsea youngster Jay Dasilva on loan.

The 20-year-old, who featured for England Under-21s in their recent Toulon Tournament success, was on loan at Charlton last term and is expected to be loaned out again for the coming season.

League One Charlton would like him to return to The Valley, but Brentford and a number of other Championship clubs are interested in Dasilva.

Those clubs reportedly include Derby County, who have been linked with him following the appointment of former Chelsea man Frank Lampard as manager.

Brentford want to bring in a left-back this summer to compete for a place with Rico Henry, who has not played since last September because of a long-term knee injury.

Dasilva has played alongside Ezri Konsa for Charlton and England Under-20s.

Highly-rated centre-back Konsa recently signed for Brentford following interest from several clubs.
