Chelsea confirm signing of Kante

Chelsea have completed the signing of Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante for a fee believed to be around £32m.

The 25-year-old France international, who played in all but one of Leicester’s 38 Premier League games in last season’s title-winning team, has signed a five-year contract.

Kante, who is new Blues manager Antonio Conte’s second signing following the arrival of striker Michy Batshuayi, said: “I am so happy to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. It’s a dream come true.

“The opportunity to work with Antonio Conte, a brilliant coach, and some of the best players in the world was simply too good to turn down.”
