Bees star Toney passed fit for Palace game

Thomas Frank says Brentford talisman Ivan Toney is fit and ready to face Crystal Palace on Saturday after tweaking a hamstring against Arsenal last week.

Toney, who headed home the equaliser in the Bees’ 1-1 draw with the Gunners, limped off in the final few minutes of the game at the Emirates Stadium.

Bryan Mbeumo has also been passed fit after coming off in the second half against Arsenal.

“Ivan has trained all week. He is fit available and he will start on Saturday,” Frank said.

“Everyone who was available for the last game is available again. That is the good news.

“Pontus Janssen, Frank Onyeka and Thomas Strakosha will not be in the squad tomorrow.

“We have two weeks for the next game because of the postponed Man United game but hopefully they will be very close to (then) being involved, but we will have to see how they go every day.”

Palace, meanwhile, will be without Wilfried Zaha for Saturday’s game.
