Transfer gossip: Hammers monitoring Dasilva, Guardian say

Some of the latest transfer speculation involving the area’s clubs…

West Ham are monitoring Brentford’s England Under-21 midfielder Josh Dasilva, according to The Guardian.

The newspaper say Brentford will not sell Dasilva on the cheap if offers are made, having stuck to their guns over the valuation of Said Benrahma before he joined the Hammers.

However, Bees boss Thomas Frank said this week there was no chance at all of the club selling any of its best players during the January transfer window.

Frank said: “I’m not worried. I understand why Premier League clubs will approach, because we have some very good players.

“No players will leave us in January. That’s not an option. They enjoy playing for Brentford and we are enjoying the journey.

“None of the players want to leave us and we definitely don’t want to let them go.”

Fulham linked with Doughty

Fulham have been tipped to make a move for highly-rated Charlton winger Alfie Doughty.

Scottish clubs Rangers and Celtic have both been linked with Doughty, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

The Daily Express say Fulham are likely to also look to snap up the youngster.

Napoli ‘want Emerson loan deal’

Napoli are reportedly looking to complete a deal to sign Emerson Palmieri on loan from Chelsea.

Emerson has long been linked with a return to Italy, having been unable to establish himself as a first-team player at Stamford Bridge.

And Corriere Dello Sport say Napoli are looking to take him for the second half of the season.
