Brentford remain sixth in the Premier League table after beating Nottingham Forest. Here’s how we rated each Bees player in the 2-0 win.

Caoimhin Kelleher: 7

Started the move for the opening goal with a superb pass out to Dango Ouattara, and kept a clean sheet on an afternoon when Forest created plenty of openings.

Michael Kayode: 6

His long throws caused problems in the Forest box, but he missed a James McAtee cross at the back post early in the second half and picked up a needless booking for complaining about a throw-in decision.

Kristoffer Ajer: 7

Solid throughout. Blocked an early Forest cross and produced a crucial block to deny Arnaud Kalimuendo after the hour.

Sepp van den Berg: 7

Bailed Brentford out after they gave the ball away playing out from the back, and got in the way of efforts from both Morgan Gibbs-White and Liam Delap.

Keane Lewis-Potter: 6

Shook off a heavy challenge from Daniel Munoz to carry on, and supplied a cross that late substitute Callum Wilson headed wide.

Delivered set-pieces well and his sweeping pass helped launch the counter-attack for Brentford’s second goal.

Mamadou Sangare: 6

Tried an early volley from the edge of the box, but was brushed aside by Ola Aina in the build-up to a Gibbs-White chance. Replaced just after the hour.

Mathias Jensen: 7

The captain went close to doubling the lead when his curling free-kick crashed off the crossbar late in the first half.

Dango Ouattara: 8

Brentford’s most dangerous player. He raced clear to force the opening goal, his cross turned in by Nikola Milenkovic, and was a constant outlet down the right. He got a standing ovation when he went off.

Igor Thiago: 7

Dragged an early chance wide but kept working, linked play well and was in the right place to turn in Jaidon Anthony’s cross for the second goal.

Kevin Schade: 6

Busy down the left and won the free-kick that earned Milenkovic a booking, but gave the ball away cheaply in his own box early in the second half.

Aaron Hickey: 6

Played a part in the passing move that led to the second goal.

Mikkel Damsgaard: 6

Put in some useful free-kick deliveries after his introduction.

Jaidon Anthony: 7

Burst clear and laid on Thiago’s goal within minutes of coming on.
