Brentford accept Blades’ bid for Egan

John Egan looks set to leave Brentford for Sheffield United.

The Blades have had a £4m bid for the centre-back accepted by Brentford, who are also ready to sell Florian Jozefzoon to either Derby or Leeds. [phone]

Egan, 25, has made 67 Championship appearances for the Bees since being signed from Gillingham two years ago.

His impressive performances attracted interest from a number of clubs prior to Sheffield United tabling a formal bid.

Brentford are prepared to to cash in on Egan, having signed centre-back Ezri Konsa from Charlton and rejected bids from Bournemouth for Chris Mepham.
