Andrews: Brighton will be Brentford’s toughest game of the season

Keith Andrews believes Sunday’s trip to Brighton will be Brentford’s toughest game of the season so far.

Brighton are third in the Premier League, three places and five points above the Bees, and their 24 goals are the most in the division.

Brentford are sixth after beating Nottingham Forest 2-0 on Saturday and have lost only one of their nine league games – the joint-fewest defeats in the Premier League.

And the Bees boss said: “This is our toughest game of our season. They’re organised in every facet of the game. They’ve clearly got a really good spirit.

“They are playing with a lot of confidence, so we’ll need to bring our A-game to get the result we want.”

He added: “We need to play well and look after the ball. We’ll need to be smart about how we play the game and where we play the game.

“The players are already very aware of what Brighton will bring. We’ve had a good week and are in a good place.”

Fabio Carvalho (knock) and Rico Henry (hip and quad) remain sidelined.

Meanwhile, Josh Dasilva and Antoni Milambo are on course to be available again soon following their respective injury lay-offs.
