Brentford add versatile youth international to B squad

Danish youth international Mads Bech Sørensen has signed a four-year contract with Brentford.

The 18-year-old defender, who joins from AC Horsens for an undisclosed fee, will be part of the club’s B team.

Sorensen made his debut for Horsens in the second tier of Danish football at the age of 16 and helped them to promotion in 2015-16.

In total, he played 25 games for Horsens in all competitions, scoring once, and made his Denmark Under-18 debut last year.

“Mads is a versatile player having already featured at centre back, left back and left midfield for Horsens which is quite rare for someone so young,” Robert Rowan, Brentford’s head of football operations, told the club’s official website.

Brentford B have fixtures against Under-23 teams from Southampton, on August 3, and Everton, on August 8.
