New signings feature as Brentford B beat Southampton youngsters

New signing Mads Bech Sorensen started as Brentford B came from behind to beat Southampton Under-23s 2-1 in Chester.

Defender Sorensen, a Danish youth international, played his first game for the Bees after joining from AC Horsens.

Fellow summer arrivals Nikolaj Kirk and Theo Archibald also featured, but their new team found themselves behind after 27 minutes.

Reece Cole equalised shortly before half-time, after cutting in from the left and firing in, and just after the break he played in Archibald, who put Brentford ahead.

Cole was given the chance to score again on 50 minutes from the penalty spot, after Bradley Clayton was fouled, but his kick was saved.

Ali Coote and Marcus Forss, who also joined the squad in the summer, came on for the last quarter of the match while Jan Holldack played the last 10 minutes.
