QPR confirm Luongo’s new contract

QPR: Massimo Luongo

QPR have confirmed that Massimo Luongo has signed a new deal.

The Australian midfielder, 24, has extended his contract at Loftus Road to 2020.

West London Sport recently revealed that Luongo was set to be offered a new contract and later revealed that he was close to putting pen to paper.

Luongo was signed from Swindon in 2015 and his QPR contract was due to expire in 2018.

“It was a big decision for me, but the right decision,” he told Rangers’ website.

“The next few years will be really important in my career, and hopefully I can build on the progress I feel I’ve already made with QPR.

Meanwhile, keeper Alex Smithies expects to also sign a new contract in the coming days.
