Former QPR midfielder Josh Laurent is among three players to have been granted free transfers by Brentford.

Striker Montell Moore and midfielder Ryan Williams have also had their contracts cancelled by mutual consent to allow them to find clubs once the transfer window closes.

Laurent, 20, joined the Bees from Rangers last January and made his only first-team appearance in the 4-0 League Cup defeat to Oxford United in August.

He also played four times in a loan spell with League Two side Newport County.

Moore is expected to join Birmingham City after his departure from Griffin Park.

The 20-year-old scored on his Bees debut in the 6-6 League Cup game with Dagenham & Redbridge in August 2014, but that was to be his only first-team appearance.

He was loaned out to Danish club FC Midtjylland in the second part of that season, and earlier this month spent a period on trial at Birmingham after being told he was no longer in Brentford’s plans.

Williams arrived at Griffin Park in the summer, having been released by Morecambe, and also made his Bees debut in the League Cup defeat to Oxford.
