Striker poised for Birmingham City deal after leaving Bees

Striker Montell Moore is expected to join Birmingham City after having his Brentford contract terminated.

The 20-year-old scored on his Bees debut in the 6-6 League Cup game with Dagenham & Redbridge in August 2014, but that was to be his only first-team appearance.

He was loaned out to Danish club FC Midtjylland in the second part of that season, playing for their youth and reserve teams.

Moore was told this month he was free to look for another club and spent a period on trial at Birmingham, who look set to sign him after his departure from Griffin Park.

As Moore is now a free agent, the deal could still be completed after Monday night’s transfer deadline.
