Fernando Llorente and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou scored their first goals for the club as Tottenham ended a superb Champions League group campaign with a fifth victory.

With Spurs having already qualified for the knockout stage as Group H winners, Llorente started up front as one of eight changes at Wembley and he poked home a first-half opener after controlling well inside the box.

The Spaniard turned provider in a neat one-two with Son that set-up the South Korean to curl home his sixth goal of the season and third in the competition.

And after N’Koudou – making his first start of the campaign – had an effort cleared off the line in the first half, his deflected effort found the net late on.

Spurs have struggled to get the best out of Llorente’s since he signed from Swansea in the summer but he struck up a dangerous partnership with Son in the opening half.

Son had an effort pushed wide from a Llorente knock-down and they combined well for the second goal, but it was Serge Aurier who provided the cross for Llorente’s 20th–minute opener.

N’Koudou, who has struggled for games since signing from Marseille in 2016, had good moments throughout and his tenacious display was rewarded when he fired home with 10 minutes left.
