Zamora, Taarabt, Hleb and more

Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill is ready to bid £8m for Bobby Zamora, the Daily Mirror say.

Zamora’s future is in doubt.

The paper suggest O’Neill is keen to land the Fulham striker but faces a battle to persuade him to move from London.

QPR also want to sign Zamora, who has fallen out of favour at Craven Cottage under manager Martin Jol.

The Mirror also say QPR are the only club to have expressed any interest in Barcelona’s former Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb after he was offered to Premier League sides.

And the Daily Mail report that Aston Villa are preparing a £1.5m bid for Fulham’s Damien Duff.

Elsewhere, the German press are suggesting Fulham are looking to sign Bayern Munich striker Invia Olic.

The 32-year-old Croatia international is also believed to be a target for Italian club Lazio.

Picking up on QPR manager Neil Warnock’s recent lukewarm praise of Adel Taarabt, the Daily Star claim the player could be handed a Loftus Road lifeline.

But The Sun say Taarabt is still on the way out, with Paris St Germain his preferred destination.

And the Mail say Blackpool and Millwall are interested in re-signing Jason Puncheon when his loan at QPR ends shortly.

The player previously spent time on loan with both Championship clubs.

Meanwhile, Chelsea want to sign Serbia international Milos Krasic from Juventus, according to the winger’s agent Dejan Joksimovic.

“Chelsea? They are interested,” Joksimovic told TMW.
