Young duo included in Chelsea squad to face City in the US
Youngsters Andreas Christensen and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have been included in Chelsea’s squad for their matches against Manchester City in the United States.
Defender Christensen was a substitute against Everton on Sunday, while midfielder Loftus-Cheek has produced a number of impressive performances for the Blues’ Under-21 side.
But there is no place in the squad for Ryan Bertrand, who is remaining in London for treatment on a knee injury, while skipper John Terry is still sidelined with an ankle problem.
Chelsea take on City at Busch Stadium, St Louis, this Thursday and will face them again two days later at Yankee Stadium in New York.
