Chelsea fans on Twitter keen for players to get a break
Many Chelsea fans on Twitter believe a potential break for a number of Blues players has arrived at the perfect time.
The Premier League leaders battled to a 1-1 draw on Sunday at Burnley, where David Luiz battled through the match despite carrying an injury.
Meanwhile, Diego Costa has not scored in four games – his longest run without a goal so far this season.
With Chelsea in FA Cup action against Wolves this weekend, it gives boss Antonio Conte a chance to make changes in order to keep his team fresh for the league run-in.
Glad there’s a break now, Liverpool & Arsenal back to back was tough. Let’s re group. Rest the first teamers & come back in 2 weeks. #CFC

Our game against Wolves could not have come at a better time. Luiz, Pedro, Costa, Matic all look like they need a break. #CFC

Great performance from Luiz, but concerned we’ll lose him for key games if he keeps playing thru injury. Cup break could be a blessing. #cfc

Burnley was for sure a tough game, and hope Luiz recovers soon, you can tell he needs some time to rest, he’s vital to us. #CFC

Luiz is in urgent need of a rest. Looked to be struggling moving around today. Won’t start against Wolves in the cup so that’s handy. #CFC

Wouldn’t mind Michy replacing Costa. He could use some rest, hasn’t been himself since China story. #BURCHE #CFC
