Terry bullish about Chelsea’s second-leg chances

Chelsea captain John Terry insisted his team are capable of securing the result they need in Barcelona to reach the Champions League final.

Didier Drogba’s goal gave the Blues a 1-0 lead to take into next week’s second leg – and Terry says they will not be intimidated by Pep Guardiola’s star-studded side.

“It will be tough in the second leg. They had a lot of chances and quite clearly they will have opportunities there,” Terry told ITV.

“But we are not in awe of them. We respect them, but another performance like that and we’ll be okay.”

Reflecting on their first-leg display, Terry said: “It will go down as one of our best performances.

“We had to be very patient. They had a lot of the ball early on and the midfielders had to work very hard and Didier was on his own up front.

“He was incredible. He was up there against some of the best in the world on his own, but he holds it up and makes us play. That’s what he’s all about.”
