QPR ace ‘wants £50k-a-week’

Alejandro Faurlin has demanded £50,000-a-week to stay at QPR, according to a report.

The Argentine has been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham, with his agent claiming a number of top clubs are interested.

Faurlin’s agent says top clubs are interested in the player.

Faurlin signed an improved deal last year and is under contract until 2014, but The Mirror say he wants a bumper pay rise if he is to commit his future to the club.

And the Daily Mail say the R’s have been offered the chance to sign Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchencko.

Meanwhile, the Daily Telegraph believe Chelsea are closing in on a £7m deal to sign England defender Gary Cahill from Bolton.

They also suggest that if Chelsea pip Tottenham to the signing of Cahill, Spurs may target transfer-listed Blues centre-back Alex – especially if the north London club sell Sebastien Bassong to QPR.
