Spurs are on a par with Chelsea and ‘much better’ than Arsenal – Redknapp
Harry Redknapp believes his former club Tottenham are “much better” than their rivals Arsenal and are now on a par with Chelsea.
The QPR boss, whose struggling team face Spurs at Loftus Road on Saturday, is convinced the north London side can win the Premier League title in the next few years.
And he feels they have already moved a level above Arsenal, who face a real fight to secure a top-four finish this season.
“Tottenham are a club that will keep improving and they’ll go for it,” said Redknapp.
“I certainly think they’re stronger than Arsenal now and with Chelsea there wouldn’t be much in it – it’d be very close now.
“They’ve got a better squad than Arsenal – a much better squad.”
Meanwhile, Redknapp has dismissed speculation linking William Gallas with a move to QPR.

Billyboy…. currently ? We are only through half a season. Bit soon for printing up the ‘Mind the Gap’ merchandising ?
As I said, brag about finishing the season above Arsenal , if that’s your ambition, when you get there, if you ever get there.
Pbro, ‘…on a par…’ with you ??? FFS. When you’ve won the top flight a dozen more times, a few more FA cup wins, gone a whole season unbeaten in the league and gone over a decade in Europe’s top flight then you can talk in those terms, but until then know your place little man and try not to get too excited about nothing.

Personally I think all this fighting about essentially the difference of one point is pointless. The points earned over an entire season are what count, not the individual matches. At time we have beaten Le Arse and yes they on average when their team was better they have correspondingly beaten us. This year our squad isn’t half injured at this time of year and therefore are in a far stronger position than last year, and yes our manager is a much better tactician than last year all of which bode well for a stronger finish than last year instead of the total (and embarrassing) capitulation of last year. As I said this bodes well for Spurs not so much for Le Arse. If we don’t choke and we should be in the top 4 if not we will be where are where we are now only with an even stronger team next year.
To me Cheatski are the new Le Arse, I would prefer Cheatski to not get into Champions than le Arse, Sacrilegious I know but thats just me.

I find it ironic that ArseAnal supporters are pointing to a game where they scored 5 goals as proof that they are on par with us in terms of quality. I recall this argument being flipped when Spurs won 5-1, except in that game, one team wasn’t forced to play the game with 10 men for 75 minutes.

Just loving the way Silly Spud is going through a drubbing where they let in 5 (!) trying to make out they deserved to win. Sums up the mindset. If they are foolish enough to buy a big self centred eejit who is so obsessed with kicking Arsenal players again (remember the Van Persie face stamp) that he gets sent off they will have to play with a player down and a goal at any time before the ref blows up for time is a goal regardless. So, where’s your point. Every season as far back as I remember these wanabees have been giving it the large one about their lofty dream of finishing above the Arsenal so hows about just do it then run up the mouth. Twitcher is famous for talking out out his squeakhole and he is about to get relegated AGAIN so why not focus on that.

Colspur… It was actually twice in 2012!! You forgot to give us a reason for the first 5-2 spanking, or wass that one a travesty too. There’s always an extenuating factor when we thrash other teams these days, give them some credit! Arsenal have always scored goals and are always one of the highest goalscorers season in season out.
Oh and I do believe, a league match lasts 90+ stoppage time so it makes no difference whether you score in the first min or last second of a match. Spurs are no way near achieving anywhere near what Arsenal have, in spite of all the you’ve millions spent on players and managers!! So carry on with your delusions of grandeur and we’ll keep building the right way! Goon night!

Life for Spurs is all about trying to be Arsenal.

“We were so superior first 20 mins…”
Congratulations on being superior for the first 20 minutes in a game that lasts for 90…perhaps you should release a DVD in celebration.
As Ghandi probably would have said – ‘There are four certainties in life…birth, death, taxes and Spurs fans claiming that this season they will finish above the Arsenal’.

You can really see gooners are worried now and they should be. They used to be strong but they are now run to stay where they are whereas spurs have a owner and management that will continue to push for improvement and success. The future is Tottenhams and the gooners know it!

Yeah, and last season he said Spurs would finish 3rd!
don’t matter if they’re at the club or have left – the delusion of anyone connected with spurs is hilarious. A tin-pot club that remains the ONLY club in world football that calls themselves ‘big’ to have not won a title in over 52 years!!!! COYS = Can Only Yearn Success!

Goony you know this years 5-2 was a travesty and only papered over your cracks just like the 7-3 toon game. We were so superior first 20 mins, only the sending off and 2 mins madness put you in front. The 3rd was totally against run of play 2nd half as was 4th. The 5th only came in stoppage time. The toon game was 3-3 at 75 mins, had they not had a hard game at OT 3 days earlier on a real boggy heavy pitch while you sat with your feet up for a week would have been totally different out come. You keep dreaming.

I guess they are so much better than Arsenal, hence the reason they got trounced 5-2 not once but twice last year. Headwrap needs to focus on avoiding relegation with his team propping up the table. #headsgone
