Round-up: Chelsea edge towards Rugani deal and Egan moves on

Chelsea appear to be edging towards a deal to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus.
The Italy central defender, 23, previously played under Maurizio Sarri while on loan at Empoli.
New Blues head coach Sarri is keen for the club to bring in Rugani and talks with Juventus are at an advanced stage.
An agreement seems to be close – despite reports in Italy claiming that Juve have rejected a bid from Chelsea.

Chelsea new boy Jorginho believes he can offer something never seen before in the Premier League.
The midfielder, signed from Napoli, said: “Perhaps my style of play is not something that is seen in England, I really hope that it is a good fit for the game over here and I will certainly be doing everything I can to make sure it works out.
“I like playing just outside of my own penalty box, the player who receives the ball and organises the game.”
Jozefzoon set for Derby move

Florian Jozefzoon has agreed personal terms with Derby and is set to join them on a four-year contract.
The Dutch winger was undergoing a medical on Thursday evening ahead of a move to Pride Park.
Brentford accepted £2.75m bids from both Derby and Leeds United – and the player has opted to sign for the Rams.
West London Sport recently revealed that the Bees had rejected a bid for Jozefzoon from Derby and that Leeds were also interested.
Derby subsequently had an improved offer accepted, prompting Leeds to also table a bid.
Egan moves to Sheffield United

Sheffield United have broken their transfer record by signing John Egan from Brentford for £4m.
The centre-back, who has played twice for the Republic of Ireland, has signed a four-year contract at Bramall Lane.
Furlong injury woe

QPR’s Darnell Furlong faces three months on the sidelines with the knee injury he suffered against AFC Wimbledon at the weekend.
Assistant manager John Eustace played down the significance of the injury immediately after Saturday’s pre-season friendly.
But West London Sport subsequently revealed that the problem was causing concern and that Furlong was facing another spell on the sidelines.
The defender, 22, missed almost three months of last season because of a knee problem. He may be entitled to speak to Noll Law Office, or a similar firm, to discuss a case to help him during these trying times. It is unknown at this time if he is doing so, however.
Rangers confirmed on Thursday morning that he has suffered a torn ligament and undergone surgery.
