Round-up: Chelsea loan deals and QPR trialists

Charly Musonda has joined Celtic on loan from Chelsea for 18 months. 

It will see the 21-year-old Belgian spend the whole of next season at Parkhead as well as the rest of the current campaign.

Baba and Nathan go too

Baba Rahman’s loan move back to Schalke has been confirmed, while Chelsea have loaned Nathan to Portuguese top-flight side Belenenses.

Left-back Baba, 23, has been out of action for almost a year, having suffered a serious knee injury while on loan at Schalke last season.

He has rejoined the German club on an 18-month loan deal, so will spend next season with them as well as the rest of the current campaign.

Nathan’s move is for the rest of the season.

Palmer back in action

Kasey Palmer played 45 minutes for Chelsea’s development side on Monday evening as part of his comeback from a hamstring injury.

Palmer, whose season-long loan at Huddersfield was recently cut short, came on for the second half in a Premier League 2 match against Everton.

Daishawn Redan scored for Chelsea, who lost 2-1.

Blues to face Hull

Chelsea have been drawn at home to Championship side Hull City in the fifth round of the FA Cup. 

Meanwhile, Tottenham who face a fourth-round replay at Wembley against Newport County, will be away to Millwall or Rochdale if they avoid an upset against the Welsh club.

QPR look at trialists

QPR are giving a trial to Arsenal’s Aaron Eyoma and Forest Green Rovers’ Charlie Cooper.

Eyoma, a 20-year-old winger, has not made a senior appearance for the Gunners. He spent part of last season on loan at Dutch second-tier side FC Volendam.

Midfielder Cooper, also 20, was signed by Forest Green from Birmingham City last year.

Both featured for QPR’s development side in a match against Colchester on Monday afternoon.

So too did Grant Hall, who was passed fit to play following knee trouble.

Colchester won the game 3-2. Rangers’ goals were scored by Ilias Chair and Chay Tilt.

Prohouly exit confirmed

QPR: Loftus Road

QPR have confirmed the departure of youngster Axel Prohouly.

West London Sport recently revealed that Prohouly, Dan Darbyshire and Danny Rowe were set to leave by mutual consent after being told they have no future at the club.

Rangers have since confirmed the departures of Darbyshire and Rowe, and Prohouly has now also moved on. 

The French forward, 20, was signed in the summer of 2015 after being released by Monaco. He did not made a first-team appearance for  the R’s.

Vibe deal agreed

Brentford have agreed a £1m deal to sell Lasse Vibe to Yanbian FC.

West London Sport recently revealed that Vibe, 30, was in talks with the Chinese club

Edun could be loaned out

Fulham are hoping to loan out Tayo Edun before Wednesday’s transfer deadline and offload Rafa Soares.

The Whites want midfielder Edun (pictured), 19, to gain more first-team experience and he is available along with young Estonian Mattias Kait.

Soares joined on loan from Porto in the summer and has hardly featured, and the Portuguese outfit are only willing to end his tenure at Craven Cottage if he secures a move to another club.

Spanish club Levante are interested in signing youngster Matt O’Riley on loan but Fulham do not want him to go
