Redknapp wants Celtic and Glasgow Rangers to join Premier League
QPR manager Harry Redknapp says the time is right for Celtic and Glasgow Rangers to be admitted to the Premier League.
Celtic are dominant north of the border, while their rivals at Ibrox are threatening to quit Scottish football because of a planned restructure of the game.
And Redknapp said: “I’d like Celtic and Rangers to play in England. I’ve said that for a year or two.
“They are two of the biggest clubs in word football and it would also give someone else a chance to win something in Scotland if they left.
“Look at their support – if you go all over the world you’ll find supporters of Celtic and Rangers.
“We’ve got a Welsh team in the Premier League, so why not two Scottish teams?”
Meanwhile, Redknapp says he is not looking to sell Alejandro Faurlin.

First off you cannot have Celtic in the EPL without Rangers. You need both to represent the rest of the British Isles and Ireland.
The Old Firm joining the EPL would be great for the whole of the British Isles and Ireland. It needs to happen ASAP for the future of Britain.
The EPL would become an even stronger league, placing it head and shoulders above all the competion and attracting 10′s of millions more fans worldwide from the US, Canada and Australia to name a few emerging markets.
Scotland would benefit by having a competitive SPL for a change. Every town in Scotland send buses to Old Firm games every week no matter where they play. A lot more Old Firm supporters would support a second local team instead of travelling to England every fortnight. The clubs left in Scotland may actually make more money from the resulting increased attendance.
Could you imagine the Old Firm sharing a stadium in Glasgow similar to Milan, it would sell out >100,000 every week.
With the Welsh in the EPL and doing well we need the rest of the British Isle represented in this league. The Irish and Northern Irish would have a more natural team to support in the EPL. They like the Scots have allegiance to one of the Old Firm. By being in the English league it may resolve the religious differences somewhat and bring these Islands closer together rather than tearing them apart.
Most of Scotland support or prefer one side of the Old Firm and you know how passionate fans are about football. I would say most care more about their football teams than they do the national team. When you consider this and in light of the very close independence referendum in Scotland I think the Old Firm must be allowed into the EPL for the sake of the union. Otherwise Scotland / Old Firm will feel excluded and just say Fuck It! We may as well go it alone, push for another referendum and vote for independance, then Great Britain will be no more. However, If the Old Firm were in the EPL any thought of independence would be quashed somewhat if they realised their team would be ejected out.
Do not underestimate the passion for football, we live for it!

I don’t want Rangers and especially Celtic in the EPL.
Celtic fans can go play in Ireland but your not welcome down here, Yiur fans constant chants about the IRA and all the anti-English rubbish makes me sick.
If anyone wants a good reason to keep Celtic out of the EPL look no further than You tube search the Emerates cup and listen to the vile abuse Injuried British soldiers receive from the backward morons living in the past.
Not wanted and certainly not welcome

All of the teams who voted Rangers out of the SPL especially celtic did so as they would have no competition so therefore are guaranteed winning the league etc. They are just pure jealous of the fact that Rangers have been the most successful in the league since the start. Go on keep kidding yourselves and being biased against the worlds most successful. There’s not a team like the Glasgow Rangers no not one and they never shall be one. FOLLOW FOLLOW

If an extended Champions League/ Atlantic League / multinational league format is starting to be discussed seriously now, that will be in direct competition with the EPL.
Signing Celtic and TRFC would be a masterstroke in strengthening the EPL and weakening the new competition. The EPL should act now to protect their interests from a position of power before the Glasgow teams have other offers.
Fair play to Harry for being open minded about it. Some other managers are terrified of the prospect stemming from their own self preservation.

Rangers are no more Harry, what you have is a tribute act called Sevco who think they are the same team but are actually the laughing stock of Scottish football.
They also have a new owner who doesn’t have a clue about running a football club and embarrasses himself, and Sevco, on what seems to be a daily basis.
Sevco have nothing to bring to the EPL other than 40,000 plus bigoted fans who only follow the club for one reason.
So sorry Harry but you don’t want that mob playing down south as it would end in tears.

Its such a pointless discussion, as well thought out as independence. You cant just join the epl, u have to join the league structure at the bottom. Theres no space as yet and our fans wouldn’t enjoy trying to make it to the premiership(which is a big ask through those three leagues). We are used to winning trophies, competing in europe, complaining that everyone from every organisation and every other team is bias towards our fierce rivals. So what happens when we finish 9th in league one?? Who do we blame? What are the attendances the folliwing year? Which fantastic players do we sign with our greatly improved, english-proportioned,wage budget? Get real. Fastest way for everything good about scottish football(spot the glasgow bias) to die off. To never play in europe again is all we would achieve. West ham had tevez and mascherano as a result of competing in the richest league in the world. Ask their fans if theyd rather have won the league and got into the champions league instead.

Arry should buy himself an English diction-Arry and look up the word ‘LIQUIDATION’. The NEWCO team currently playing out of asbestox have never won anything, nor have they produced a single years audited accounts, they are struggling big time with million pound Premiership players to beat part-time postmen and upholsterers needing their chums in black to reduce their opponents to ten men AND STILL NEED DODGY PENALTIES to get a result!
Why should this mob of chancers be considered for anything over honest hard working teams like Aberdeen or Dundee Utd, especialy when you consider the foul behaviour of the murderous fans they inherited from Oldco, while they left a trail (not inherited!) of tens of millions of pounds, with millions owed to the Brittish taxman and the theft of millions from National Insurance Contributions due to hospitals, hospices, sick kids, cancer treatments, nurses wages…etc.. across Britian?
Does Arry have an EBT????

Glasgow Rangers? They have been liquidated and replaced by a new company calling themselves “The Rangers Football Club”
