Rangers role is similar to job at Manchester City, says Hughes

Mark Hughes believes there are major similarities between Manchester City when he was in charge at Eastlands and his current task at QPR.

Hughes arrived at Loftus Road with experience of dealing with ambitious rich owners and says that has helped him since his appointment as R’s boss.

“I’ve been through this experience before at Man City. It’s a very similar situation to when I first walked through the door there,” he explained.

“It was a club which needed shaping and pulling in the right direction. That’s what’s needed here as well, so my experience at City has helped me.”
