QPR man looks likely to complete Cardiff City move

QPR’s Matt Connolly looks likely to complete a move to Cardiff City in the next 48 hours.

Rangers have accepted an offer from the Bluebirds and the defender is expected to agree personal terms.

He is not part of R’s boss Mark Hughes’ first-team plans and spent the second half of last season on loan at Reading.

Connolly, 24, has made more than 100 league appearances for Rangers since being signed from Arsenal in January 2008.

Cardiff recently signed Heidar Helguson from QPR and are also hoping to persuade Tommy Smith to join them.
