QPR fans hit back at ‘sore loser’ Warnock after long-ball jibe
Many QPR fans on Twitter took exception to Neil Warnock’s comments about their team’s style of play following Saturday’s win against his Cardiff side.
Warnock labelled Rangers a long ball side after the game at Loftus Road, where he was given a warm welcome on his return.
His remarks did not go down with many fans, some of whom pointed out that QPR often relied on direct tactics during his time as manager.
Others pointed to Rangers’ slick move in the build up to Yeni Ngbakoto equalising against the Bluebirds.

@WestLondonSport what were his side doing then to only have 44% possession if we were just hitting long balls? Sour grapes much? pic.twitter.com/rdR1ehOR1P

However, others admitted, somewhat reluctantly, that Warnock might have a point.

Neil Warnock would be the first to admit that any win is a good win and a manager uses the tools he has in the toolbox, that said ,I too am getting a little worried that we are playing the long ball too much, bypassing the midfield.we must have the ability to pass our way up the field, we have some very good midfielders,we should be using them to create the openings for washington and smith and not just to defend.
