QPR failed with Alves bid – report
QPR failed in a bid to sign Portugal international Bruno Alves from Zenit St Petersburg, according to the Daily Mail.
It is claimed that Alves was one of the defenders targeted by Rangers, who are set to complete the signing of Chris Samba today.
The Daily Mirror report that West Brom want QPR’s Junior Hoilett in exchange for Peter Odemwingie.
The Mail say Rangers are looking to sign Peter Crouch from Stoke for £6.5m, while the Mirror say a £4m bid has been made.
And a number of papers report that Tottenham are set to hand QPR David Bentley, Jermaine Jenas and Andros Townsend.
Meanwhile, Anzhi Makhachkala are trying to sign Chelsea outcast Florent Malouda, the Mirror say.
It is claimed the Russian club are looking to buy him for £5m.
