Mourinho ‘ready to return’

Jose Mourinho will leave Real Madrid in the summer and is ready to return to Chelsea, The Sun claim.

Mourinho is apparently keen to have his old job back but would also want assurances that he would have control without any interference from Blues owner Roman Abramovich.

A ‘top source’ close to Mourinho is quoted as saying: “Jose would go back to Chelsea. But before agreeing, he would want things very clear between him and Roman Abramovich.

“He would say ‘Roman, you are the owner and I am the boss here. Let’s work together and the power is in our hands’.”

John Terry could be stripped of the England captaincy today, according to the Daily Mirror.

It is suggested that FA leaders are set to make a decision over whether to allow the Chelsea defender to keep the armband ahead of his July trial for alleged racist abuse of QPR’s Anton Ferdinand, which Terry denies.

The Guardian believe there is a growing feeling within the FA that Terry should not remain as skipper.

The Mirror say Ferdinand’s brother Rio will not shake Terry’s hand before Chelsea’s match against Manchester United.

The Daily Telegraph claim Rio Ferdinand is unsure whether to accept Terry’s handshake.

Meanwhile, The Sun report that Andrew Johnson looks close to agreeing a new contract at Fulham.
