Juventus said to want Torres as R’s are linked with youngster

Juventus want to sign Fernando Torres and Manchester United’s Nemanja Vidic this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Italian giants are reportedly likely to offer £30m for Torres, which is well below Chelsea’s valuation of the striker.

Torres' future is in doubt.

Torres has struggled since his £50m move to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool, leading to speculation that the Blues may sell him at the end of the season.

The Daily Mail say Roman Abramovich will present his new manager with a list of potential star signings and tell him to take his pick.

Chelsea’s billionaire owner has apparently pinpointed four key roles – a centre forward, two full-backs and an attacking midfielder – as the priorities for a summer spending spree.

A fresh bid for Tottenham’s Luka Modric is said to be an option, while other targets include Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao, Napoli’s Ezequiel Lavezzi and Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen.

Meanwhile, the Mail suggest QPR have had a bid for teenage midfielder Alex Pritchard rejected by Tottenham.

The 18-year-old’s contract expires this summer and it is claimed that several Premier League clubs are interested in signing him.
