Howe: Bournemouth will be hard to stop
Eddie Howe has warned the rest of the Championship his Bournemouth side will be a hard team to stop if they continue their ruthless streak in front of goal.
The Cherries hit five past Fulham to move back to the top of the table and become the division’s leading scorers.
Bournemouth had picked up just four points from the six games before Tuesday’s win over Wolves but Howe said he hopes that blip is now over.
“If people felt we were going to win every game this season, I’d say that expectation is too high” Howe said.
“During the six games we didn’t win, I thought the performance levels were very strong.
“We were dominating games, we just weren’t being clinical enough in both boxes.
“But in the last two games we’ve refound our confidence in front of goal and when we have that ruthlessness we’re a hard team to stop.”
Howe said he was pleased to have won so comprehensively at Craven Cottage given the strength of the Fulham squad.
He added: “I felt it was going to be a difficult fixture, when you see the players Fulham have.
“But we started the game very positively, the lads were clinical in front of goal and could have scored more.”
