Harry Kane Back in Transfer Headlines – Is a Spurs Reunion Likely?
Transfer talk surrounding Harry Kane is nothing new, with the England captain having attracted plenty of attention over the course of his career. Those that have mastered the art of scoring goals will forever be in the highest demand.
En route to becoming the all-time leading scorer at Tottenham, Kane was regularly linked with moves to Premier League rivals. Manchester giants United and City led that chase across several windows without ever getting a deal done.
Wings were eventually spread in 2023 when leaving London for Munich, with Bayern securing the most sought-after of signatures. A retracing of steps has been mooted ever since said deal was completed.
Major silverware

Tottenham would welcome Kane back with open arms and he will be an interested observer as Spurs vs Man United odds price his former employers at 13/8 to take three points off the Red Devils in Premier League competition.
There will be many more eyes on that game, with another title race seemingly wide open as betting on football markets struggle to settle on an overwhelming favourite to capture that prize.
Anybody with a striker of Kane’s ilk in their ranks will fancy their chances of chasing down major silverware – which is why Erling Haaland and Manchester City are very much back in the mix and Mohamed Salah could inspire any charge towards the crown by Liverpool.
Chelsea are showing signs of becoming contenders once more, as a pretenders tag is shaken, but are yet to show the kind of consistency that separates the best from the rest.
They have been in the market for a proven No.9 since the days of Diego Costa, with big money being invested in several so-called superstars that have not quite lived up to expectations.
Enzo Maresca has plenty of firepower at his disposal in 2025/26, but he could always do with more. There has been talk in the not too distant past of Kane registering on the recruitment radar at Stamford Bridge.
His remarkable record suggests that should not be too much of a surprise, as he would certainly tick an important box in west London. Ties to fierce rivals do, however, hint at speculation of that kind being a tad fanciful.
The man himself has admitted as much, with Kane fully aware that former domestic foes are unlikely to ever forgive and forget his past. He has said: “Obviously, maybe the Chelsea fans don’t like me as much, and obviously Arsenal fans don’t like me as much…”, suggesting quite a different story from Kane.
Leading marksman

Those words were uttered ahead of a Champions League outing for Bayern against the Blues. He went on to score twice in that contest, while remaining the leading marksman in north London derby fixtures.
Those exploits, along with his recent comments, suggest that Kane is highly unlikely to grace anything other than already familiar surroundings in the English capital. He is generating transfer talk again, with exit clauses ready to be triggered in 2026, but any switch to Chelsea’s version of the Bridge would appear to be at least one too far.
