Harrison plans to continue boxing career

Audley Harrison says he intends to carry on boxing despite his recent first-round defeat against David Price.

Harlesden’s former Olympic champion, 40, had indicated that his challenge for Price’s British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles would be his final fight.

But Harrison, much criticised during his professional career and flattened in 82 seconds by the unbeaten Price, now plans to return to the ring.

“It’s official…I’ve decided to carry on,” he posted on Twitter.

“One more shot at glory. It could be over; next fight will tell me. See you in a ring real soon.”

Harrison has been touted as a possible opponent for another undefeated British heavyweight, Tyson Fury.
