Half-time: Wigan 0 Fulham 1

Hugo Rodallega’s goal against his former club gave Fulham a half-time lead at the DW Stadium.

The Colombian out-jumped the Wigan defence to nod home Dimitar Berbatov’s cross on the half hour mark.

The Latics finished the half strongly with Jordi Gomez striking the bar, but keeper Mark Schwarzer was rarely called into action.

Ali Al-Habsi was the busier of the two goalkeepers, denying both Rodallega and Berbatov as Martin Jol’s side enjoyed the better of the chances.

Emmerson Boyce headed into the side netting for Wigan shortly before Rodallega silenced the boo-boys on his return to the DW.

Fulham (4-4-2): Schwarzer; Baird, Hughes, Hangeland, Riise; Duff, Sidwell, Kacaniklic, Riether; Berbatov, Rodallega.
Subs: Kelly, Briggs, Kasami, Karagounis, Petric, Ruiz, Stockdale.
