Half-time: QPR 1 Rotherham 0 – Chery puts Rangers ahead on #StanBowlesDay
Stan Bowles was given a hero’s reception at Loftus Road, where Tjaronn Chery’s first goal for QPR put them ahead three minutes before the interval.
Rangers legend Bowles, who has Alzheimer’s disease, looked in very good physical condition as he was introduced on the pitch to the crowd before kick-off on ‘Stan Bowles Day’.
And the home fans were on their feet again when summer signing Chery side-footed home after James Perch’s right-wing cross was nudged into the Dutchman’s path by Charlie Austin.

Rotherham might have taken an early lead when Jonson Clarke-Harris got away from Perch and crossed for Matt Derbyshire, who was unable to finish from close range.
And after Chery’s well-taken goal, keeper Rob Green saved at his near post after Lee Frecklington’s intended cross deflected off R’s defender Grant Hall.
