QPR’s pre-season campaign is underway in glorious sunshine at St James Park.

Rob Green produced an early save to deny Exeter’s Jake Gosling but the first half was largely dominated by a Rangers side that included Luke Young.

Veteran full-back Young, who is looking to salvage his career following a long struggle with a hip condition, served up a decent cross from the right which was headed wide by Bobby Zamora.

Shaun Wright-Phillips and Stephane Mbia both had efforts saved by Grecians keeper Artur Krysiak before the lively Armand Traore was unlucky not to score for Rangers after a skilful run.

The visitors will make wholesale changes at the interval, with new signing Danny Simpson set to make his debut for the club and Andrew Johnson in line to feature following a long-term knee injury.
