Fulham linked with QPR target

A number of papers report QPR’s signing of Nancy midfielder Samba Diakite, which is expected to be formally completed today.

Twitter comments by Rangers vice-chairman Amit Bhatia advocating the introduction of a video challenge system for football are picked up by The Guardian and The Sun.

Elsewhere, the Daily Mail report that Fulham have offered £2m plus Andy Johnson for Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega, who has attracted interest from QPR.

The Mail say Rangers are instead looking to complete the signing of former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse from Lazio and will make an improved offer for Tottenham’s Steven Pienaar.

And Chelsea have made a £1m offer for Nottingham Forest’s 18-year-old forward Patrick Bamford, according to a story that appears in the Mail and The Sun.
