Forwards to make their mark?

Few would have thought at the start of the season that the Chelsea v Man Utd game in early February would not be between two teams with realistic title aspirations but that is, sadly, the case on Sunday.

Yes it is possible that Chelsea (7/2 co favs) could land their third FA Cup in four years and are favourites to make it past Napoli in the last 16 of the Champions League, but the fact that Andre Villas-Boas is just 10/1 with us at BetVictor to be the next Premier League manager to lose/leave his job and the club are 9/4 to be top London side in the PL (Spurs 4/9) speaks volumes.

Chelsea are 6/4 favourites to put a dent in United’s chances of retaining their title at the Bridge, with the visitors 15/8 and the draw 23/10.

13/2 to score first

Non-striking striker Fernando Torres is 13/2 to net the opener behind Wayne Rooney (11/2) who is likely to return after a two-match absence through injury.

We have a special match bet between the two forwards and bet:
Rooney 10/3
Torres 11/4
Draw 4/6

There has been much speculation about whether John Terry will go to/lead England at Euro 2012 and betvictor.com have a market on who will skipper the Three Lions in their first game of the tournament against France on June 11th:
J Terry 6/4
S Gerrard 2/1
S Parker 4/1
A Cole 6/1
14s Bar

Rangers (10/11) really should have too much at Loftus Road for a Wolves side (16/5) who were dreadful against Liverpool in midweek.

Former Reds striker Djibril Cisse was excellent at Villa Park in their exciting 2-2 draw on his debut midweek and he is 7/1 to net the opener with ourselves, which does look too big!

A flying start for Bobby?

The Frenchman will be keen to make an impact in front of the R’s faithful and he looks sure to start.

Bobby Zamora will also be keen to make an immediate impact and he also looks a very fair price at 15/2 to score first and Mark Hughes will surely want to start his recent recruits as a partnership sooner rather than later.

Fulham have had a disappointing week having tamely exited the FA Cup last Friday and again surrendering the lead against the Baggies on Wednesday night.

Things don’t get much easier with a trip to the Etihad on Saturday and the visitors are 10/1 for a shock with the league leaders 1/3 and the draw at 22/5.

This is a good time to play City, however, given their recent wobbles and the natives will be getting increasingly restless if they haven’t scored inside the first 20 mins.

Clint Dempsey remains in tremendous form and is 12/1 to score first and 7/2 to score at any time.
