Austin will plead with QPR to reduce asking price, report claims

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving QPR and Chelsea…

Speculation continues over the future of Charlie Austin, with the Daily Telegraph reporting that the striker wants QPR to reduce their asking price for him.

Rangers, who want £15m, have received no offers for Austin despite numerous reports of both bids and strong interest from several clubs, including Chelsea, Newcastle, Southampton, West Ham, Liverpool and Crystal Palace.

Austin will plead with the club to change their price if he is unable to secure a move soon, the Telegraph say.

West Ham have launched a bid to sign Mohamed Salah from Chelsea, according to the Daily Mirror.

There has been much speculation about Salah’s future since the end of last season, which he ended on loan at Fiorentina, who are keen to keep him.

Several other clubs have been linked with the Egyptian, including Tottenham, Inter Milan and Juventus.

And the Mirror reports that West Ham want to take Salah, 23, on loan with a view to a permanent move.

Following reports in the Italian media, the Daily Mail say Chelsea have discussed a £10.7m bid for Augsburg’s Ghana left-back Baba Rahman, who is said to be a target for Juventus.

Meanwhile, Oscar continues to be linked with a possible move to Juve.

The Mirror say he could offloaded by Chelsea in exchange for Paul Pogba, who has been consistently linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

And the Daily Star say Atletico Madrid will  snub a cash plus-player-offer from the Blues for Antoine Griezmann.

Chelsea, it is claimed, are willing to give Atletico either Salah or Filipe Luis for the forward, who is apparently rated at £43m.

Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Tuesday that Chelsea could offer Salah as part of a swap deal for Griezmann.
