Blues again linked with West Ham youngster along with United and Arsenal

Chelsea have again been linked with West Ham’s teenage defender Reece Oxford.

The Daily Star say Arsenal and Manchester United are also interested in the 15-year-old, who has already featured for the Hammers’ Under-21 side and has captained England at Under-17 level.

Oxford’s representatives are currently negotiating a new deal for him and he was linked with Chelsea last month.

Now it is claimed that West Ham are struggling to tie him to a professional contract, apparently giving fresh hope to the clubs said to be keen to sign him.

Oxford has been dubbed ‘the next Rio Ferdinand’ and was an unused substitute for a Capital One Cup tie against Sheffield United in September.

As for Ferdinand, there continues to be speculation over the future of QPR’s former England centre-back.

Today’s Sunday People suggested the 35-year-old is likely to receive offers to play in the United States.
