Loic Remy has returned to Chelsea for treatment on an ankle problem – just 10 days after joining Crystal Palace on loan.
Remy suffered the injury on Monday and Palace have confirmed that the Blues will oversee his treatment.
Remy, who has not played in the Premier League this season, was in line to make his Eagles debut in their match against Middlesbrough on Saturday.
“It is obviously a blow for the player and for us as a squad,” said Palace manager Alan Pardew.
Andreas Christensen, on the other hand, has enjoyed a successful loan spell at German club Borussia Mönchengladbach, who want to sign him from Chelsea permanently – but the defender says he will not make a decision on his future until next summer.
