Tottenham have told QPR they want £8m to sell Alex Pritchard and are reluctant to let him leave on loan.
West London Sport recently revealed that Rangers were hoping to sign the 23-year-old on loan with a view to a permanent transfer.
But Spurs are not keen and Rangers are one of several Championship clubs hoping a loan deal does become an option if Pritchard is not sold.
QPR are more optimistic of completing a deal to sign Iceland forward Jon Dadi Bodvarsson from Kaiserslautern before next weekend’s Championship opener against Leeds United.
