Rodgers credits Courtois for Blues cup win
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers said Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was the reason for his side’s defeat in the Capital One Cup semi-final.
Branislav Ivanovic’s extra-time header earned the Blues a 1-0 victory in the second leg at Stamford Bridge to secure a Wembley date against either Tottenham or Sheffield United on March 1st.
“We are very proud of the team,” Rodgers said. “Over the two legs we were the better side but their goalkeeper has got them to the final. Up at Anfield and here he has made some very important saves.
“That has won them the game. The players gave everything and we created chances to win but we weren’t clinical enough.”

BR is someone i like as a coach, and coaches get alot of credit when teams win… He subbed Mario in, Mario did nothing more or less than he has done all season, so is it Marios fault, or BR…. to me its BR… NO way he should have come on….poorest decision ever by the coach, and he should talk about that, not about the other team…….so angry
