Feruz scores twice in Under-21 win

Islam Feruz scored twice to give Chelsea a 2-1 away victory against Wolves in the Under-21 Premier League – but missed out on a hat-trick by blasting over an injury-time penalty.

Wolves fielded an experienced line-up that included Kevin Foley and George Elokobi, and they took the lead through Liam McAlinden’s goal.

But the young Blues hit back to stretch their unbeaten run to 14 matches.

Feruz levelled shortly before the break after being set up by Isaiah Brown and put Chelsea ahead with a fine volley midway through the second half – his ninth goal of the season.

It was another impressive display from Feruz, although he was unable to hit the target with his spot-kick after being fouled in the box by Tim Jakobsson.
