Chelsea’s Under-21s win at Fulham

Chelsea’s impressive youngsters returned to winning ways with a 2-1 triumph at Craven Cottage – Fulham’s first defeat in the Under-21 Premier League this season.

The young Blues were unbeaten in 14 matches before a recent cup loss against Arsenal and they were 2-0 up by half-time against their west London neighbours.

Alex Kiwomya crossed for John Swift to open the scoring before Lewis Baker smashed in from near the edge of the penalty area eight minutes before the interval.

Cauley Woodrow pulled one back with a penalty after Nathan Ake had fouled Chris David.

But Fulham were unable to find an equaliser and the excellent Swift almost added a late third for the visitors.
