Austin in QPR squad as speculation over striker’s future continues
Charlie Austin is in QPR’s squad for Saturday’s Championship opener against Charlton and looks set to feature in the game at The Valley.
A number of clubs have been linked with the 25-year-old striker, including Newcastle, Tottenham, West Ham and Everton.
But Rangers insist they want £15m for Austin and so far only Leicester have made an approach.
Austin has been nursing a groin problem but trained on Friday and appears to be fit to play this weekend.
“We’ve had good game time from Charlie over the last two years, so for how long he’s here we’re hopeful of the same,” said QPR head coach Chris Ramsey.
“If he does go, we’re ready to use the players we’ve brought in over the summer to good effect.”

If we aren’t gonna sign Austin then ok, but it would be nice to be told why not !!
If 15ml is the asking price then I think thats a good deal and he will go on to be worth double that.
He is exactly what we need, a gosl scorer instead of strikers that dont know where the goal is (Sakho aside).
