Transfer gossip: West Ham linked with Mawson

West Ham are ready to offer Swansea £25m for Alfie Mawson and quadruple the Hillingdon-born defender’s wages, The Sun on Sunday claim.

The newspaper say Hammers boss David Moyes believes the offer will be of interest to the Welsh club and that former Swansea striker Andre Ayew will be offered to them as part of the deal.

It is also claimed that Swansea are looking for as much as £40m for Mawson, 23, as a slice of any transfer fee will go to Barnsley, who signed him from Brentford in 2015.
