Fans on Twitter react to Holloway’s comments
QPR fans on Twitter have been reacting to Ian Holloway suggesting that the club need to emulate Brentford.
The Rangers boss believes Brentford’s stability and shrewd transfer business has enabled them to develop an impressive style of football.
Many R’s supporters were unhappy about the comparison between the two clubs, with some regarding it as a sign of how far QPR have slipped under the ownership of Tony Fernandes.
@BenIngram3 @WestLondonSport Dumbing down fans/owners ambitions to mask his own limited ability & failings as a manager protecting his job.

@WestLondonSport From unveiling Ji Sung Park at some swanky central London landmark to aspiring to be like Brentford. Global brand. #QPR

@WestLondonSport No offence to Brentford but if this is our ambition then it highlights how far we have fallen in the past 5yrs Only way we are heading is ⬇️

@WestLondonSport What attracting 8000 every week it won’t be far off if the football don’t improve.

A headline that perfectly encapsulates the success of Uncle Tone’s tenure. https://t.co/miLJ6OPMvS

However, others felt Holloway’s comments were an accurate reflection of what Rangers need to do after another troubled season.
@WestLondonSport Agree. For a club that size it’s incredible what they have achieved. The football they play is stuff of dreams compared to ours…

@WestLondonSport Much prefer us to be like Barca but guess indicative of club’s ambition these days

I wonder why having some AMBITION is suddenly a dirty word, we should never go into a season lacking ambition otherwise lets all pack up and go home.
PS Emulating Brentford is hardly ambition.

Do the club a favour TF and sell it and give it to someone who has some ambition for its future. If emulating Brentford is the best we can do we will be stuck in the championship or worse for the foreseeable future.

It only goes to show how arrogant and tactically niave some qpr fans that they can’t face reality
