Club deny Australian midfielder is on his way to QPR
Central Coast Mariners director of football Lawrie McKinna has hit back at reports the Australian club’s midfielder Tom Rogic could be set to join QPR.
The R’s were reported to have tabled a bid for the 20-year-old, who has been training with Celtic during their trip to Spain.
A number of clubs have been made aware of Rogic by his representatives and QPR invited him for a trial.
“All the Mariners have had is a letter from them asking for Tom to come and trial and we rejected that,” McKinna told the Sydney Morning Herald.
“We did have an enquiry from a UK agent with Tommy coming to trial, which was great, but we said he wouldn’t be going to trial. That’s all it’s been.”
