Chelsea have made five changes for their first Champions League game in 18 months, with new signing Davide Zappacosta handed his first start.

Captain Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen also return to the defence, with David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger and Victor Moses making way.

Willian and Michy Batshuayi also come back into the starting line-up, replacing Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.

As expected, Eden Hazard is among the substitutes, who also include the five left out from Saturday’s win at Leicester plus goalkeeper Willy Caballero.

Boss Antonio Conte has resisted the temptation to include any of the club’s promising youngsters, such as Charly Musonda, on the bench.

Chelsea: Courtois; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Cahill (c); Zappacosta, Kante, Fabregas, Alonso; Willian, Batshuayi, Pedro.
Subs: Caballero, Rudiger, Luiz, Bakayoko, Moses, Hazard, Morata.
