Chelsea target to snub new deal and move to England – report

Highly-rated Japan forward Shinji Kagawa will snub a new four-year deal at Borussia Dortmund for a move to England, The Sun report.

Chelsea are said to be among the clubs interested in the 23-year-old, who has a year of his current contract left to run.

The Sun also say that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is unhappy that the Blues’ Champions League semi-final triumph against Barcelona was regarded as such a shock.

A club source is quoted as saying: “It’s great Chelsea are there but the top brass are not happy everybody had them down as big underdogs.

“The phrase being used was ‘everyone’s behaving as if Stoke City has reached the Champions League final’.”

Meanwhile, The Daily Mirror declare that Chelsea will offer departed Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola anything he wants to come to Stamford Bridge, although the signs are he will resist any offers.
