Chelsea on way to signing Werner following possible sale of seven players

Chelsea will reportedly sign off few team members to balance the signings of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and two more potential additions to the team.

This news was a reasonable cause for celebration on King’s road this week, as it emerged that Werner would transfer from Leipzig to Chelsea this summer. Previously linked to Liverpool and Bayern Munich, this player will come in handy for Lampard’s crew, who will expect to cash out £54 million for Werner.

Football experts and public relations expect the deal to be officially announced after the 24-year-old is allowed to travel to England. Reportedly, there is a release clause that Chelsea has to meet but as we know, Timo Werner has already agreed on the terms.

Even though the Premier League and sports, in general, are not active in the past few months due to the postponement, transfers and arrangements are always an exciting announcement for sports fans. In the meantime, enthusiasts are exploring esports opportunities and abilities to create their dream teams in the online space.  The gaming industry has opened a lot of options when it comes to themed games. From football, science fiction and lifestyle, to games inspired from hit movie titles such as Beetlejuice Megaways at SlotsWise – your choice depends on your preferences and favourite gaming subject.

It’s quite extraordinary to know that Werner is still just a few months past his 24th birthday, and already a serious reason for bidding between great football clubs. Seven years since his professional debut, this striker has scored 88 Bundesliga goals, has a place in the national team and changed his public image. From being one of the most hated football players in the league he became the most admired striker in Europe. For a personality that is rather cocky and reckless, it has been a fruitful career for this youngster so far. However, the deal will be officially sealed shortly after the 24-year old is allowed to travel to England.

Werner comes from a family that has been involved in the professional football league. Timo’s father, Gunther Schuh had also been a professional striker but with not so bright goal score behind him. Instead, Timo Werner looked up to Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez, announcing himself as Germany’s next talent.

Since joining Leipzig in 2016, he scored around 92 goals in all competitions. Though his actions say that he stayed the modest, down to earth guy that drives the same car he has since 18, he’s well aware of his capabilities. After the successful period in Leipzig, he openly expressed his wish to play for Bayern, saying that they were the only club in Germany he would consider moving to.

Considering Werner’s style and game, football analytics agree that he will fit right in at Chelsea. The departure of Pedro, Willian, Jorginho, Zouma, Alonso, Barkley and Batshuayi will leave a lot of space on Stamford Bridge in the summer. This way, the German will have an opportunity to flourish, grow and play a leading role in a young team, just as he has done back in Leipzig.

As we find out, no other club has shown a willingness to meet the release clause and Chelsea’s coach Frank Lampard has held several discussions with Werner. His approach met the expectations of the young player, even though Liverpool was initially Werner’s first choice. Rather than being a second choice on the bench at Liverpool, he apparently has opted for game time under a coach who’s willing to take him in the first row and expose his gameplay.

Scoring impressive results in the previous seasons, football pundits expect him to carry on with the same form in the Premier League. They would like to see him play on the left-hand side because apparently, he’s better there. He’s labelled as a good team player that collaborates with others. Even though his talent is inevitable, his technique is yet to be refined.
